David Thomas Updates Group on COBRA, Other Employment Issues (April 29, 2009)

Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel recently partnered with Banker’s Insurance (formerly Cabell Insurance Association) to present a workshop on current employment issues and trends, including COBRA, FMLA, and small group insurance continuation. Attorney David Thomas gave the overview, with Bankers Insurance Benefits Producer Daryl Russell providing background information for this Employer Services Presentation.

The seminar, held on April 28 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Charlottesville, included an audience of 40 people representing a wide range of industries.

This presentation is part of Michie Hamlett’s continuing focus on community outreach and education. The firm is proud to help educate businesspeople and citizens about issues of concern to them. The Presentation

The Albemarle Charlottesville Human Resources Association recently invited David Thomas, attorney with Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel, to present a workshop on current employment issues and trends, including COBRA, FMLA, and small group insurance continuation. The event, held April 14 at the Albemarle County Office Building, attracted an audience of 50 people representing 30 different companies.

The Albemarle-Charlottesville Human Resources Association (ACHRA) serves as the voice for the human resource profession for the Charlottesville/Albemarle region. As a proud affiliate of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), ACHRA provides its members programs and services that increase their professional development, connecting them with other members who work in the human resource profession.
