KATHARINE A.R. BROOKEMAN practices in the firm's family law group. A native of Charlottesville, Katharine attended Charlottesville High School before matriculating to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Richmond School of Law. Following graduation from Chapel Hill, Katharine worked in Atlanta, Ga., for Arthur Andersen LLP in their Strategy Finance and Economics Division. She then worked for TRX, Inc. also in Atlanta, Ga., as a Senior Process Reengineering Analyst where she was responsible for managing and coordinating projects aimed at improving technology systems and reducing costs for the largest travel process outsourcing company in the world. While in law school, Katharine was member of the Non Traditional Law Students Association (NLSA) and Phi Alpha Delta (P.A.D.) and a Doubles Scholarship Recipient. During law school, Katharine interned for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, Inc., Shilling & Associates and the Office of the Attorney General, where she worked on a broad range of litigation cases. When she is not working, Katharine is an avid runner and keeps fit running after her five-year-old son Taylor.

Recently: MichieHamlett is pleased to congratulate Katharine Brookeman and her husband, Tim, on the birth of their child.

Katharine and her family live close to Richmond. Due to the long commute and the recent addition to her family, Katharine has decided not to return to MichieHamlett to work. We certainly wish her the best of luck in the future, and we thank her for her contributions to the firm.
