LORI CARRARA is a paralegal for the personal services section. She started working for MichieHamlett in 1996. She earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland. She primarily works with Ron Tweel, assisting in family law, divorce, and adoption cases.

BILLIE DISMER has been with the firm since 1986, and provides services in connection with tax matters. As an enrolled agent, she represents clients in Internal Revenue Service and Virginia Department of Taxation tax audits, and IRS and Virginia Department of Taxation Collection matters. She also assists clients with various bookkeeping and accounting matters. Previously, she worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 14 years, as a tax auditor, a reviewer on the technical review staff, and as an appeals officer. She has worked as a staff accountant for certified public accounting firms as well.

JANET HYLTON started working for MichieHamlett in May 2005. She is secretary for Attorney Ron Tweel in the family law/personal services group. Prior to working for MichieHamlett, Janet worked as a legal assistant in the area of bankruptcy law for a law firm in Danville, Va. She has a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College.

RACHAEL GALLUP is a legal assistant to Attorney James P. Cox, III, in the wills, trusts, and estates and real estate section. Rachael began working for MichieHamlett in 2009. Prior to this, Rachael worked as a legal analyst with LexisNexis, where she prepared legislative acts and court rules for incorporation into print, online, and CD products.

SUSAN MATHIS is a legal assistant to Attorney Scotty Scott in the family law/personal services group. She started working for the firm in September of 2009. She has many years of experience in the legal industry, including previously working for a patent law seminar company in Charlottesville. Prior to that, she worked for two attorneys in Charlottesville as their legal assistant/ office manager.
