Collaborative law is a way to resolve disputes by removing the disputed matter from the courtroom setting and treating the process as a way to “trouble shoot and problem solve” rather than to fight and win. As part of the collaborative law process, both parties retain an attorney trained in collaborative law. If the process is successful, the parties will reach an agreement, avoiding the emotional and financial expense of litigation.
